Stillness and Receptivity: Modes in Contemporary Photography and Painting explores how both photographers and painters express the fundamental ideas of art and composition. It is the balance of being a poised observer and remaining open. The exhibition investigates the similarities between painter and photographer, the methodologies they employ, from the use of lighting and design, from the objects they depict and how combinations of these elements can change the context of a composition, our understanding, and its meaning to us.
